Montr\u00e9al, September 30th, 2019\u00a0\u2013 <\/strong>G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec<\/a>, Oncopole<\/a> and IVADO<\/a> have joined forces to launch the\u00a0Omics Data Against Cancer Competition<\/em>\u00a0(ODAC). Funding consideration is open to\u00a0Qu\u00e9bec researchers.The detailed guidelines and application forms will be available in December 2019 on the G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec Website (under\u00a0Ongoing competitions<\/a>).<\/p>\n

This competition will finance cancer-related research that leverages omics data using artificial intelligence.\u00a0Projects submitted for funding must produce concrete deliverables with the potential to improve patient well-being.<\/p>\n

Each of the partners is contributing $500K to the competition, for an overall investment of $1.5M. The budget per project is set at $200K to $300K for a period of 2 years.<\/p>\n

G\u00e9nome Qu\u00e9bec will oversee the application process, which will include the submission of a letter of intent, the submission of a complete application and a review of the application by the Fonds de recherche du Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n

Complete applications must be submitted by March 2020.<\/p>\n
