Borrowing the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/vieux.ivado.ca\/en\/research_projects\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Digital intelligence to.\u00a0.\u00a0.<\/a>\u201d concept of our other articles on research transfer, these texts will explain the importance of your projects to society, their innovative aspects, and their potential applications. Texts may be written in English or French and will be translated into the other language before being shared on our communications platforms.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_accordion active_section=&#8221;12&#8243; css_animation=&#8221;none&#8221; collapsible_all=&#8221;true&#8221;][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Publication and support process&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;process&#8221;][vc_row_inner css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1586373194334{padding-top: 35px !important;padding-bottom: 35px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1589380671309{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}&#8221;]The publication process comprises the following steps:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>There will be quarterly calls for papers combined with periodic science writing workshops, given online or in person.<\/li>\n<li>After each submission deadline, our team will select three to five articles based on the criteria outlined in the following section.<\/li>\n<li>If your article is chosen, our professional will follow up with you within 14 days of the submission date. Meetings will then be set up with all selected authors to discuss the texts and issue an initial round of comments.<\/li>\n<li>Our professional will then conduct two or three rounds of follow-up by e-mail to help shape the text into its final form.<\/li>\n<li>Our team will produce the final layout of the articles and translate them. Articles will be signed \u201cXXX (student), with advisory support from YYY (science popularization consultant) as part of the <em>My Research Project in 800 Words<\/em>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>A proof will be sent to you for a final check before publication.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Eligibility criteria&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;eligibility&#8221;][vc_column_text]Texts submitted must meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be enrolled in a program connected with our <a href=\"https:\/\/vieux.ivado.ca\/en\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">fields of expertise, mission and values<\/a> at the time you submit your article;<\/li>\n<li>Be part of the IVADO-funded student community: a scholarship recipient in one of our <a href=\"https:\/\/vieux.ivado.ca\/en\/ivado-scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">programs of excellence<\/a>, a team member of a fundamental or collaborative research project with IVADO funding, a member of one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/vieux.ivado.ca\/en\/spotlight\/frq-ivado-research-chairs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FRQ\u2013IVADO research chairs<\/a>, a student of a <a href=\"https:\/\/vieux.ivado.ca\/en\/spotlight\/professeurs-ivado\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">professor receiving IVADO funding<\/a>, or a student connected to one of our <a href=\"https:\/\/vieux.ivado.ca\/en\/partners-and-collaborators\/members-and-partners\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">academic members or partners<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>Be available for a meeting with the selected authors (remotely or in person) and be able to respond in a timely manner during the article comments and revision phases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=&#8221;Article evaluation criteria&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;evaluation&#8221;][vc_column_text]Articles submitted will be evaluated using the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Linguistic and science popularization quality;<\/li>\n<li>Compliance with the word count and publication standards;<\/li>\n<li>Explanation of the importance of the subject to society, its innovative aspects, and its potential applications;<\/li>\n<li>Potential interest of the subject for our IVADO community;<\/li>\n<li>Compliance with our overall editorial lines.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If texts of equal quality are submitted, the criterion for selection will be equal representation of undergraduate\/graduate levels of study and of our three member universities (Universit\u00e9 de Montr\u00e9al, Polytechnique Montr\u00e9al, HEC Montr\u00e9al).
