Biography
Juliana Schulz is an IVADO assistant professor in the Department of Decision Sciences at HEC Montréal. She has a background in actuarial mathematics and statistics, with work experience in various sectors of the insurance industry. She completed her Ph.D. degree in statistics and held a postdoctoral research position in biostatistics at McGill University before joining HEC Montréal in 2019.
Juliana’s research focuses primarily on multivariate statistics and dependence modelling with applications in insurance. She is also interested in precision medicine, specifically in dynamic treatment regimes, with the goal of developing statistical methods for estimating optimal sequences of treatment decision rules.
