Centre Axel enters into an academic partnership with IVADO to promote technological solutions in mental health
Montréal, April 15, 2019 – As part of its ongoing efforts to create greater synergy in the development of mental health technologies, Centre Axel has entered into an academic partnership with IVADO to strengthen scientific collaboration and technological knowledge sharing in data science, artificial intelligence and mental health.
Under the agreement, Centre Axel and IVADO will benefit from the expertise of their members and industrial and academic partners to foster the reach of their research initiatives, broaden the pool of trained students in mental health data science and, above all, offer more workshops, conferences and specific training.
“Gaining access to data science experts and industrial partners provides us with the opportunity to further demonstrate the importance of big data development in mental health,” affirmed Isabelle Ouellet-Morin, codirector of Centre Axel.
“This strategic collaboration paves the way for innovative research projects in the field of mental health and enriching knowledge transfer activities with the general public and experts in the sector. We are delighted to count on the expertise of the Centre Axel to put data science at the service of our most precious asset, our well-being” said Gilles Savard, Executive Director of IVADO.
