L’expansion révolutionnaire dans l’IA\, au cours des cinq dernières années\, est directement liée aux progrès majeurs de la recherche en apprentissage automatique\, qui permet aux ordinateurs d’apprendre sans être explicitement programmés à cet effet. Ces avancées représentent de grandes opportunités pour l’amélioration de notre système de santé\, de la recherche fondamentale aux applications en cliniques. \nCe cours d’introduction à l’intelligence artificielle appliquée en santé permettra aux professionnels\, industriels\, chercheurs et étudiants du domaine de la santé de s’approprier les concepts de base permettant de mieux aborder ces opportunités. L’UPop a pour mission de favoriser le développement de l’esprit critique en offrant à la population de Montréal et des environs un accès libre et gratuit au savoir par le biais d’activités d’éducation populaire implantées dans plusieurs quartiers de la ville. \nInspirée du mouvement alternatif des universités populaires européennes\, la démarche du projet vise à créer un lieu dynamique de rencontre\, de réflexion et de partage des connaissances pour un public varié. DESCRIPTION:Carrying on the success of the AI for Social Good Summer Lab held by the McGill University Office of Innovation in 2017 – OSMO\, McGill University & the Montreal Institute for Learning Algorithms will be running a 6-week 2018 Lab that teaches technical concepts in machine learning\, in addition to digital product development\, design and business development tactics applied all with the goal of solving a social problem. It is our belief that AI should drive innovation to address key societal challenges that impact the lives of millions of people. \nIt is also our belief that AI research and product development needs to be more inclusive.
