About

Description

Please note that the workshop will be given in English but the instructors will be bilingual.

Ready for the challenge?

The AÉBINUM, the Quantitative and Computational Ecology Laboratory and IVADO challenge you to accumulate 100 hours of code over 100 days. The 100 days of Data.trek challenge is the perfect opportunity to learn about data analysis and machine learning.

Why 100 days?

Because learning how to program takes time and practice. You can’t learn it in a day, or even a week. We know, 100 days is a long time, so we’ve planned everything to help you get to the end of the challenge.

Ran’s 100 days of data, what is it?

It starts with a data set and a project – you provide the data and the project. We’ll introduce you to your favourite programming language (R, Python or Julia) and/or introduce you to machine learning tools in a fun and practical way.

This first day of the workshop will end with a happy hour where you can network and build relationships with the cohort, or find partners if you want to work in a team. Then it’s up to you! Don’t hesitate to share your questions, your successes, and your answers with other participants on the event’s Facebook page. Every 25 days, satellite gatherings will be organized. It will be an opportunity to exchange around a pizza. Finally, on the 100th day, we celebrate victory!
